ACPD’s training programmes falls within the national regulatory management framework scope and are certified by School Business Manager Open Training Platform (SBMOTP) whereby local obtained unit standards and skills programmes are quality assured internationally through International Awarding Bodies such as City & Guilds, EDI, LCCI and others. (Please visit: www.sbmotp.com). There is a formal Memorandum of Understanding between City & Guild and SAQA on the NQF. Most of the training that ACPD provide is aligned with unit standards listed on SAQA as well as with international unit standards. Quality assurance is done by the International Quality Assuring Bodies i.e. QCA and CQA. The international alignment and accreditation extends the opportunity for learners to obtain international credits for the learning programmes enrolled for. These credits can then lead to an international qualification that can be obtained through the process of recognition of prior learning (RPL). The ACPD host two Mentoring Centres where students have the opportunity to make a choice between national or international certification. The ACPD registration number with the SBMOTP is 8456. The ACPD is also registered as service provider with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (a registered ETQA), Professional Board for Environmental Health, registration number EHP008.
